The Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard will place American motor sport and car culture in the spotlight for 2026, with a major Americana Celebration presented by Bank of America.
The event, which takes place from Thursday July 9 to Sunday July 12, 2026 will follow shortly after the US marks 250 years since the Declaration of Independence. Goodwood will use the occasion to recognise several major American motor sport anniversaries, including 110 years of the Indy 500, 110 years of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, 60 years of Can-Am, 60 years of Trans-Am and 20 years since Jimmie Johnson’s first Cup Series title.

The FoS’s Cathedral Paddock will become the focal point for the American theme, with up to 50 cars and bikes expected from a broad mix of disciplines. The line-up will span IndyCar, NASCAR, Can-Am, Trans-Am, IMSA and Formula 1, with machinery including the Scarab F1, Lola Haas THL1B, McLaren M8F and Shadow DN4. NASCAR machinery associated with names such as Dale Earnhardt and Jeff Gordon will also feature, alongside endurance icons including the Shelby Cobra Daytona.

Goodwood has already confirmed that the three Ford GT MkIIs that completed the famous 1-2-3 finish at Le Mans in 1966 will be reunited at the Festival of Speed. This will be the first time in a decade that the trio has appeared together, and all three are due to run on the hillclimb.
A strong roster of American and American-linked motor sport figures is also expected, including Aaron Shelby, Al Unser Junior, Chris Forsberg, Colin Edwards, Dario Franchitti, Derek Hill, Emerson Fittipaldi, Freddie Spencer, Kenny Roberts, Kenny Roberts Jr, Kevin Schwantz, Ryan Tuerck, Scott Speed and Travis Pastrana.
Further additions to the Festival of Speed 2026 will be announced in the coming months. More details can be Goodwood’s tribute to American motor sport can be found here.
