JAS Motorsport has begun revealing more about its first-ever road-going car: a ‘reimagined’ Honda NSX developed in collaboration with Pininfarina.
The project between JAS and Pininfarina is said to be progressing on schedule, with the collaboration now entering the stage where the development prototype is due to be clothed in its full bodywork. Production will be handled in tiny numbers at JAS Motorsport’s facility in Arluno, just outside Milan, Italy.
Pininfarina has designed a completely new body, fashioned entirely from carbonfibre. Each example will start life as a donor NSX from the early 1990s, and customers will be able to specify left- or right-hand drive. A host of mechanical upgrades under the skin are promised, borne from JAS Motorsport’s history.

Inside, while the layout echoes that of the first-generation NSX, Pininfarina has reinterpreted it with a design the company claims stays true to the original NSX philosophy set out 35 years ago – that a car should connect directly with its driver and inspire genuine enthusiasm behind the wheel.
Power comes from a naturally aspirated V6, again based on the original NSX engine but re-engineered by JAS for sharper response, greater power and improved torque. It’s matched to a six-speed manual gearbox.
For those who are not familiar with JAS Motorsport, it was founded in 1995 by Giorgio Schön, Paolo Jasson and Alessandro Mariani. Since the late 1990s, JAS has been Honda’s official partner in touring car racing, developing and running Works machinery for series such as the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC), TCR and WTCR. The company has also played a key role in developing Honda’s GT3 and customer racing programmes.
The finished ‘reimagined’ Honda NSX will be revealed in the first half of 2026, when its name and final details are announced. More details, when they become available, can be found here.
