ModaMiami 2026 shines despite the downpours, with Alfa, McLaren and Ferrari victorious

ModaMiami returned to the Biltmore Hotel from February 27 to March 1, 2026, with 400 classics and supercars on the showfield for the third running of the event.

Despite largely favourable conditions throughout the weekend, Sunday’s programme was disrupted by a sudden thunderstorm, which brought heavy rain and strong winds to Coral Gables shortly before noon. The downpour flooded parts of the golf-course showfield adjacent to the Biltmore, leaving standing water and muddy ground conditions. While dramatic images circulated online showing high-value cars surrounded by water, early reports indicated no significant damage to vehicles, although the storm curtailed the closing stages of the event and complicated logistics for organisers and exhibitors.

The event coincided with a successful two-day RM Sotheby’s sale – you can read more about that here – but the showfield was full of impressive cars, with Best of Show spread over three categories. The winner of the Post-War selection was a 1967 Ferrari 275 GTS/4 NART Spider, while the Modern Category went to a 1995 McLaren F1. The Classic title was won by a 1934 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Lungo Spider.

The range of classes was diverse, from Supercar Skittles for eye-poppingly hued exotica, to RETROmods for the emergent restomod scene. Elsewhere, there was a celebration of the Lamborghini Miura at 60 years old, British luxury and much more.

Other attractions included the Moda Noche, an open-air celebration with cocktails, dinner and live music, and the Concours de Nuit, which put the cars on show under the stars. Meanwhile, the ModaMiami cruise took participants through Coral Gables and Coconut Grove. There was also the chance to enjoy circuit driving at a nearby track, plus designer watches, jewellery and handbag showcases from Sotheby’s auctions.
