The 2027 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion will celebrate the Laguna Seca 70th anniversary with special tributes to the riders, drivers, team personnel and machines that have made the Californian circuit one of the most famous in motor sport.
Since opening in 1957, Laguna Seca has hosted everything from sports cars and prototypes to IndyCar, Can-Am, Trans-Am, IMSA and MotoGP. With this in mind, the Reunion will deviate from its tradition of honouring a single marque in favour of celebrating the circuit’s full breadth of racing, on two wheels as well as four.

Titled 70 Years of Laguna Seca: Legends of Motorsport, the celebration is built around five themes. Racing Legends and Drivers will reunite famous competitors with their career-defining race cars and motorcycles, while Collectors and Influential Personalities honours those who have preserved and championed the sport’s history.
Elsewhere, Art and Photography showcases renowned artists and image-makers, and Designers and Builders recognises the creative talents behind some of the world’s most iconic competition machines. Finally, Fashion and Lifestyle explores motor sport’s style and culture, and its influence beyond the circuit.
“WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca’s history cannot be told through one manufacturer, one era or even one form of motor sport,” explained Mel Harder, general manager and president of WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. “For 70 years, this circuit has brought together extraordinary drivers and riders, groundbreaking machines, passionate fans and some of the most important names in motor sport.”

Tracing its origins to the Monterey Historic Automobile Races of 1974, the Reunion is one of the blue-riband events of Monterey Car Week, and one of the few places where Historic racing machinery is raced flat-out, rather than simply displayed.
“For Laguna Seca’s 70th anniversary, we have an incredible opportunity to draw upon [the circuit’s] collective history and bring together legendary machines and the people who made them famous,” said Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion chairman Bruce Canepa. “Our goal is always to make each Reunion even more memorable than the last, and 2027 presents an extraordinary opportunity to do just that.”
Dates for next year’s event, traditionally held in mid-August, are yet to be confirmed, with further featured machines, personalities and anniversary events to be announced in due course.
