Concours of Elegance Germany 2025 is set to live up to its billing in only its second year, with a focus on European elegance – and the works of Henri Chapron will be a particular highlight.

Held on July 25-26 at Gut Kaltenbrunn on Lake Tegernsee in the Bavarian Alps, the event will display up to 50 of the world’s most exclusive cars, including prototypes and exclusive one-offs. The concours, organised by Thorough Events, the team behind the London Concours and Concours of Elegance Hampton Court Palace, has attracted such fascinating cars as the Serenissima Agena, Ogle Triplex and a unique James Young-bodied Bentley. There are also very rare production models to savour, such as a BMW 503 Cabriolet, Lamborghini LM002 and Fiat-Osca 1500, among many more.

One of the major themes for Concours of Elegance Germany 2025 is the Chapron Class, paying tribute to coachbuilder Henri Chapron and his distinctive eye for refined elegance. You can expect to see such automotive treats as the 1939 Talbot-Lago T23 Baby Cabriolet Prototype, a 1931 Delage D8 Sports Tourer Roadster, a 1955 Autobleu 4CV Chapron and a Citroën SM Mylord, among others.

Further highlights include machinery from the Wundercar Collection. Created by Frankfurt-based lawyer and art patron Christian Zschocke, this tribute to the BMW E3 series pays tribute to the artistic and emotional side of cars, with distinctive art pieces such as The CaliforniaThe Group 1The Inka and The Vision Paul Bracq. The collection has been shown at many international art fairs, museums, car shows and more, and now makes it debut at the Concours of Elegance Germany 2025.

Among further cars already confirmed for the concours are a Lamborghini Countach LP400 with an Academy Award-winning composer among its prior owners, a one-of-200 Ferrari 275 GTS, a Bugatti 57 Stelvio and a Zagato-bodied Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Gran Sport.

Additional highlights include a dedicated Ladies Concours, a Junior Concours and a prize for Emerging Collectors. RM Sotheby’s will also be hosting an automobilia sale, and the Future Classics section will pay tribute to exotic contemporary cars that are set for collectable status in future.

Concours of Elegance Germany 2025 is preceded by the Tour of Elegance; on July 21-24, drivers will cruise through the Austrian and Bavarian Alps, taking in twisting passes, gourmet food and enchanting views. However, it is the route of travel taken by one particular car that could prove most fascinating – a Barou-bodied 1949 Talbot-Lago T26 Grand Sport Coupé bought at last year’s event via RM Sotheby’s has now been fully restored and will be making its post-works debut.
