Fountain Hills, Arizona, hosted the 11th Concours in the Hills on April 19, 2025. It was the second edition since founder Peter Volny philanthropically relinquished ownership to Phoenix Children’s, a paediatric acute care hospital in nearby Phoenix.

Happily, around 40,000 car enthusiasts supported the event, indulging their passion while also supporting a noble cause. Strong attendance, sponsorships, registration, food vendors and donated funds and services led to more than $437,657 being raised for Phoenix Children’s.

More specifically, the funds raised will benefit the Phoenix Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders and the Cardiothoracic Surgery Support Fund, which provide life-saving care to children battling serious illnesses. The event’s success comes after it had to be rescheduled from its initial date of February 15, 2025, due to inclement weather.

The show was organised into distinct automotive genres: European, Domestic, Asian, Race Cars, Off-Road and Motorcycles. There was also a special section dedicated to limited-edition exotica – many seldom seen in public – that included one of just two Koenigsegg Trevitas ever built, a road-legal Gumpert Apollo, a Rolls-Royce Phantom Scintilla, a Ferrari 250 GT SWB and more.

These incredibly rare machines formed a small part of the vast 1000-car line up, which also included both military and civilian helicopters. The machinery on display was complemented by over 85 sponsor booths and myriad food and drink vendors.

Fittingly, founder Peter Volny presented the concours’ opening ceremony alongside racing drivers Derek Daly, Didier Theys, Lyn St James, Arie Luyendyk and Harley Cluxton. The official opening concluded with Phoenix Children’s being presented with a cheque for $437,657.

A 1962 Ferrari 250 GT SWB was awarded the Best of Show prize, while a 2024 Ducati Panigale won the Best Motorcycle award. Class-winning cars included a 1967 Plymouth GTX (Best Domestic), a 1936 Alfa Romeo Botticella Spider (Best Race Car) and a 1955 Austin-Healey 100/4 BN1 (Best Import).

“The community and sponsor support for this 11th anniversary event has been nothing short of extraordinary,” enthused founder and chairman emeritus Peter Volny. “As members of the automotive community, it’s an incredible honour to help drive meaningful change in the lives of the children and families served by Phoenix Children’s.”
