The inaugural Cavallino Classic Monaco took place alongside the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique 2026, bringing together 22 Ferrari Formula 1 cars for a concours-style display at the Yacht Club de Monaco, in association with the Automobile Club de Monaco and Ferrari Corse Clienti.
Over the course of the weekend, a selection of the entries appeared on the Monaco circuit as part of the Cavallino Classic Monaco Ferrari Parade, supported by Ferrari Corse Clienti. According to the organisers, this represented the largest number of Ferrari Formula 1 cars assembled on track at one time.
The Cavallino Classic Monaco display included cars spanning several eras of Scuderia Ferrari’s Formula 1 history, from the 1960s through to the early 2000s. The presence of multiple V12 and V10-era machines was a notable feature, with several cars running on track during demonstration sessions.
The concours awards were presented on Saturday evening at the Yacht Club de Monaco. The Best of Show award was presented by Piero Ferrari to the 2004 Ferrari F2004, chassis 234, owned by Luis Perez Companc. The car was used by Michael Schumacher during the early part of the 2004 Formula 1 season, including races in Australia, Malaysia, Bahrain, Imola and Spain.
Other Cavallino Classic Monaco awards included the Chairman’s Award for the 2002 Ferrari F2002 chassis 222. It was raced by Rubens Barrichello, taking him to victory at the US GP, and podiums in Japan, Malaysia and China. The People’s Choice Award went to the 1998 Ferrari F300 chassis 189, used by Michael Schumacher in the final two rounds of the season, taking two pole positions.

The Best Sound Award was awarded to the 1969 Ferrari 312 F1-69 chassis 0007, driven by Chris Amon in the latter part of the 1969, taking three poles and a fastest lap at Silverstone. Class awards were presented to the 1980 Ferrari 126C chassis 047, only one of two of the seven chassis built to survive, the 2000 Ferrari F1 2000 chassis 198 and the 2018 Ferrari SF71H chassis 327, driven to five victories by Sebastian Vettel and one by Kimi Räikkönen. The F2002, winner of the Chairman’s Award, was also presented by Riva with the iconic steering wheel of the Aquarama.
On track, Joe Colasacco’s 1964 Ferrari 1512, which also formed part of the Cavallino Classic Monaco concours entry, took victory in Race B at the Historique, for cars built between 1961 and 1965. It was driven by John Surtees during the German Grand Prix at the Nürburgring, and then by Lorenzo Bandini at the Italian Grand Prix and Pedro Rodríguez for the Mexican Grand Prix.

The Cavallino Classic Monaco programme also included a dinner at the Yacht Club de Monaco, accompanied by a charity auction organised by the Cavallino Foundation in collaboration with RM Sotheby’s in support of Save the Children.
“It still feels like a dream to have brought this idea to life,” said Luigi Orlandini, chairman and CEO of Cavallino Classic. “Together with Cavallino president Enzo Mattioli Ferrari, I have worked on this project over the past two years. It seemed almost impossible, yet here we are celebrating its success, highlighted by the record of 12 Ferrari F1 cars on track at the same time: something never seen before. We are already working on new ideas for the next edition of the Historique in 2028. I would like to thank all our extraordinary guests, whose magnificent single-seaters made this possible, delivering unforgettable moments and an event of global resonance.”
The Monaco debut formed part of Cavallino Classic’s 35th anniversary programme, with the next event scheduled to take place in Modena on May 22-24, 2026. More details can be found here.
