Broad Arrow adds Zoute and Zürich sales to European auction roster

Broad Arrow is bolstering its number of European sales still further after a promising debut weekend over the Concorso d’Eleganze Villa d’Este earlier this year.

Taking over the spot previously held by Bonhams, Broad Arrow will become the official auction partner for the Zoute Grand Prix Car Week, held on October 8-12, 2025 in the grounds of Approachgolf in Knokke-Heist. Broad Arrow say that 70 cars will be up for grabs, and three models have already been announced at the time of writing.

Leading the lots is the above 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4. One of six cars finished in Verde Pino, chassis 10563 was intended for the Crepaldi dealership in Milan, but was diverted to Bill Harrah’s Modern Classic Motors in Reno, Nevada via Luigi Chinetti. Its first owner was via the Hodges Chemical Company in California in 1968, passing to motorcycle dealer and fellow California Roger Selby.

The 275 GTB/4 went to Harley Cluxton’s Grand Touring Cars in Arizona in the mid-1970s, which had the car back after a small period with Mark Magruder in Colorado. Dr Ronald Finger owned the Ferrari between 1978 and 1981, passing it to James Kircher of Michigan, who kept it until 1983. Sherman M Wolf of New Hampshire owned the car from 1983 to 1998, selling it to Mel Weiss. He kept it for nine years, selling it to former Starbucks CEO Orin Smith, who kept it until 2017.

The 275 GTB/4 is now in European ownership and has not had a full restoration, although the auctioneer says that it has been refinished and retrimmed in its factory livery. It has the Ferrari Classiche Red Book certification, and is estimated at between €2.7m and €3.2m.

Other early consignments include one of only two Avorio-hued Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona ‘Plexi’ cars built (pictured above), which was originally ordered by Garage Francorchamps for racer Baron Hughes de Fierlant (no estimate given). There’s also a one-of-248 1962 Porsche 356 B 1600 D’Ieteren ‘twin grille’ Roadster, estimated at between €250k and €350k.

The Zoute sale is followed by The Zürich Auction, held in partnership with Auto Zürich on Saturday November 1, 2025. The auctioneer says 60 cars will be presented at The Dolder Grand hotel that overlooks Lake Zürich. First held in 1987, Auto Zürich is now Switzerland’s largest automotive event, catering for new cars and classics; it takes place on October 30-November 2 at Messe Zürich.

The auctioneer has also confirmed it is returning to Lake Como for the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in 2026.
