Brooklyn artist Kozo transforms The Peninsula London’s chauffeur fleet into artwork

Six cars from The Peninsula London hotel’s chauffeur fleet have been decorated with artwork created by Brooklyn-based artist Kozo. The vehicles will wear the bespoke liveries from October 1-31, 2026 to coincide with the Frieze London contemporary art far.

Kozo’s A World Within artwork is applied to a Bentley Bentayga, a BMW i7, two Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII Series II Extended Wheelbases, an electrified Austin 7 taxi and an LEVC taxi. The fleet will be used to transport guests around the UK capital.

Each of the six cars is decorated with a unique compositions, each telling a continuous visual story. The artwork includes illusions of torn bodywork revealing picturesque British countryside, historic architecture and Peninsula logos. London’s Wellington Arch and the hotel’s guardian lions are pictured alongside figures of page staff appearing to peel back the cars’ paintwork.

The project was facilitated by CART Department, the art-car initiative founded by collector Larry Warsh. Kozo spent three months developing the designs digitally, working from photographs of each vehicle, before the artwork was translated into bespoke vinyl wraps and applied by detailing specialist Topaz.

“A car is not a blank white canvas; this project forced me to translate my language as a painter and tattoo artist onto a moving vessel,” Kozo explains.

The cars’ existing Peninsula Green paintwork provided Kozo with his starting point, while the individual proportions and details of each model helped shape the final compositions.

“Every one of those must be accounted for and, ideally, worked into the composition rather than fought against,” he explains.

The project is The Peninsula London’s first art fleet, with hotel guests able to book the cars for transport throughout October.

The Peninsula London hosts the International Historic Motoring Awards on November 13, 2026.
