Great Northern Classics, a motoring destination based in Derby, UK, is to host a series of talks with luminaries of the classic and collector car world.

Each month Paul Cowland of the Discovery Channel’s Salvage Hunters: Classic Cars will talk to a leading voice on the classic car scene, from celebrity owners to designers and engineers.

The first talk, to be held on Saturday February 28, 2026, will be Simon Gregson, who played Steve McDonald on Coronation Street – he’s also an avowed car enthusiast, with history of Lotuses, MR2s and Renault Alpines.

In March, the guest will be Ian Callum CBE, the designer of the Jaguar F-Type, F-Pace and I-Pace, as well as the Aston Martin DB7 and Vanquish, along with the Ford Escort RS Cosworth.

In April, McLaren F1, Jaguar XJR-15 and Lotus Esprit designer Peter Stevens will take to the stage.

Tickets are priced at £25, or £37 including a curry, side dish and drink. More details on the Great Northern Classics ‘Evening with’ events can be found here.
