Gooding Christie’s adds Geneva auction with no-reserve Ferrari collection for 2026 debut

Gooding Christie’s will stage its first auction in Switzerland on November 8, 2026, with a standalone car sale at the Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues in Geneva during Christie’s Luxury Week.

The new Geneva Auction will be led by a single-owner collection consisting primarily of low-mileage modern Ferraris, all of which will be offered without reserve. Gooding Christie’s says the sale is intended to be the first step towards making Geneva a recurring fixture in its European, Middle Eastern and African auction calendar.

Among the leading consignments is a 2023 Ferrari 812 Competizione Aperta (above), estimated at CHF1.7m-1.9m. The open version of Ferrari’s limited-production 812 Competizione is joined by a 2025 812 Competizione coupé, which carries a CHF1.4m-1.6m estimate.

A 2025 Ferrari SF90 XX Spider is estimated at CHF1.5m-1.7m, while a 2016 Ferrari F12tdf (below) is expected to bring CHF1.4m-1.6m. All four will cross the block without reserve.

Further Ferraris from the collection include pairs of 488 Pistas, 296 Speciales and 12Cilindris. Gooding Christie’s has not yet published the full catalogue or estimates for those cars. The collection also contains a smaller number of models from Mercedes-Benz, Citroën and Puch.

The sale marks another expansion of Gooding Christie’s European auction programme following the acquisition of Gooding & Company by Christie’s and its subsequent rebranding. Geneva has long been one of Christie’s principal locations for luxury auctions, particularly jewellery and watches, but November will mark the first dedicated Gooding Christie’s collector car auction in Switzerland.

“Geneva has been one of the world’s great meeting points for collectors for decades, and cars are a natural addition to Christie’s Luxury Week,” said Oliver Camelin, Gooding Christie’s managing director for EMEA. “We are delighted to bring Gooding Christie’s to Geneva with an exceptional, single-owner collection of modern Ferraris, offered without reserve. Our November auction marks the first step towards establishing Geneva as a recurring and important part of the Gooding Christie’s EMEA calendar.”

The timing will place the automotive sale alongside Christie’s established Geneva watch auctions. This year’s Luxury Week will also include five F.P. Journe watches formerly owned by Michael Schumacher, each carrying the matching serial number 92/99. The group comes from F.P. Journe’s Ruthenium Collection (above) and comprises an Octa Jour et Nuit, Tourbillon Souverain, Octa Chronographe, Octa Calendrier and Chronomètre à Résonance.

Each will be sold separately in Christie’s Rare Watches auction on November 9, 2026. The Octa Jour et Nuit, Octa Chronographe and Octa Calendrier are each estimated at CHF300,000-600,000. The Tourbillon Souverain and Chronomètre à Résonance each carry estimates of CHF650,000-1.2m.

Their appearance in Geneva coincides with the 30th anniversary of Schumacher joining Ferrari. The team marked the anniversary at the Italian Grand Prix at Monza in September, with its current Formula 1 drivers using specially produced race suits and helmets referencing Schumacher’s period with the outfit.

Gooding Christie’s will display the cars entered for the Geneva Auction at a separate viewing facility close to the Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues from November 6-8, 2026. Viewing will run from 10:00am until 6:00pm, with appointments requested in advance. The auction itself takes place on Sunday November 8, 2026. More details are available here.
