Bugatti Festival 2025 celebrates 20 years of Veyron with Molsheim parade and driving tour

The annual tribute to Ettore Bugatti‘s birthday and the founding of his eponymous company is always a special occasion, but the Bugatti Festival 2025 (which took place on September 11-14) was even more exceptional – it marked 20 years since the introduction of the Veyron.

To celebrate, Veyron owners took part in the Le Petit Tour, which incorporated a scenic drive through the Vosges mountains. After starting the day with the Bugatti Owners Club at Château Saint Jean, the participants continued on to the lunch venue at the 12th century Château du Haut-Barr, otherwise known as the Eye of Alsace, which offers a spectacular view across the surrounding plain.

The tour then headed to the Villa René Lalique, constructed in 1920, to see crystal-glass tributes to Rembrandt Bugatti’s Dancing Elephant and other works of art, before heading back to Château Saint Jean. Guests enjoyed a banquet in the Orangerie, during which the Opéra de Strasbourg paid a three-act tribute to Prof Dr Ferdinand Karl Piëch’s Veyron project.

Attention turned to the Bugatti Festival 2025 the next day. Organised by the Enthousiastes Bugatti Alsace, this took place at Molsheim’s Parc des Jésuites. Bugattis paraded through closed streets to the delight of big crowds, and the event also marked the 1934 release of the Type 59; the model was celebrated with a special display at the Hôtel de la Monnaie.

The Bugatti Festival 2025 was the 42nd running of the event, and it attracted around 70 cars; aside from the Veyron tour, the Enthousiastes Bugatti Alsace also offered its own special trip, which included a visit to the Licorne brewery in Saverne, lunch at the Restaurant l’Etoile in Wasselonne, a visit to the Museum of Old Agricultural Heritage in Sommerau and more besides.
