The artisans from the Amalgam Collection have unveiled two “museum grade” 1:8-scale model-and-figure pairings celebrating Tazio Nuvolari’s career. Their arrival coincides with the build-up to the 82nd Monaco Grand Prix on May 25, 2025.
The collection, titled Racing Legend Tazio Nuvolari Monaco Grand Prix Figure Editions, features two of the cars Nuvolari famously raced in the Principality: the 1932 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 ‘Monza’, in which he claimed victory, and the Bugatti Type 59, which he drove to a fifth-place finish in 1934.

Widely regarded as one of the greatest racing drivers of the pre-war era, Nuvolari is depicted through a digitally sculpted, 3D-printed figure, meticulously hand-painted and brought to life by Venetian artists.
Amalgam is limiting production to just 28 editions per model, and each is offered in clean pre-race or weathered post-race finishes. Incredibly, each model requires over 5000 hours of development work, and more than 500 hours to assemble from thousands of precisely engineered components. The models measure in at over 52cm in length, while the accompanying driver figure stands at around 20cm tall.

The lengthy development process is partly down to the fact that the models’ CAD drawings were created by digitally scanning Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Monza chassis 2111043 and Bugatti Type 59 chassis 59122. Both vehicles are part of Ralph Lauren’s personal collection.
“These new Tazio Nuvolari Figure Editions celebrate two of the most iconic Grand Prix cars ever raced, and the fearless brilliance of the man who drove them,” said Amalgam Collection founder Sandy Copeland. “These are not just scale models, they are deeply researched and exquisitely executed tributes to two mechanical masterpieces and one of motor sport’s greatest heroes.”

The Racing Legend Tazio Nuvolari Monaco Grand Prix Figure Edition models are available now, priced at £22,835. For further details, please click here.
