On April 16, 2024, rural Oxfordshire reverberated with the melodic hum of British six-cylinder engines, as XK Media Day unfolded at Bicester Heritage.

Organised by the International Jaguar XK Club, the get-together was held to signify the launch of the XK Alliance, which sees the club form close relationships with major companies operating within the classic Jaguar sphere, such as Pendine Historic Cars, SNG Barratt, Twyford Moors, William Heynes and Coryton Sustainable Fuels.

The XK Alliance was formed to preserve Jaguar’s sporting heritage and celebrate one of the marque’s most important models, at a time when the brand is pivoting towards high-end electrified models.

“The International Jaguar XK Club and our specialist partners have a focused mission to sustain the Jaguar sporting image established by the classic XK,” explained XK Club founder Philip Porter.

“We are pleased to announce that the International Jaguar XK Club, in conjunction with our specialist partners who have joined us at this event, are working together on a series of initiatives to sustain the classic Jaguar sports car image. This event is the start.”

Event attendees took Philip’s sentiment to heart by exploring the dynamic capabilities of their XK Jaguars on-track, before socialising in the nearby Hagerty Clubhouse. It’s promised that more XK Alliance events will be announced in “due course”.
