A. Lange & Söhne 1815 Hampton Court Edition heads to auction

A unique A. Lange & Söhne 1815 Chronograph Hampton Court Edition in white gold is being put up for auction in aid of The Prince’s Trust.

Founded in 1976 by His Majesty King Charles III, the charity supports young people to transform their lives, and is a beneficiary of the Concours of Elegance, which is held at Hampton Court. A. Lange & Söhne is a long-time supporter of the event, and this new-for-2022 watch was specially developed for the Concours of Elegance 2022 as demonstrated by the hinged caseback, which has been hand-engraved with the Concours of Elegance logo.

This 1815 Chronograph was developed especially for the Concours of Elegance 2022.

The present 1815 Chronograph Hampton Court’s unique features include a white-gold case and a black dial with silver subcounters, plus sand-coloured script, numerals and outer track. The hinged caseback opens to reveal A. Lange & Söhne’s in-house L951.5 manual movement.

The watch will be offered at no reserve by Phillips at The Geneva Watch Auction: XVI between November 5 and 6; it’s estimated at between $100,000 and $200,000. More details are available here.
