Breitling has added a new model to its Classic Cars Collection of watches. Based on the 1960s Top Time chronograph, the collection pays tribute to some of the most iconic machinery of the era – including the Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Corvette and Shelby Cobra. It was one of Breitling’s best-selling collections in 2021, and the range has just been updated with a new timepiece that pays tribute to the Ford Thunderbird.
The Thunderbird model features a red strap and white dial, plus a teal Thunderbird logo and red chronograph hands. The other watches all follow similar design cues in matching their automotive inspirations, but this collection features a new calibre – the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01. It provides a 70-hour power reserve, and has a self-winding mechanical movement.
The stainless-steel case measure 41mm, while the face glass and casebook are made from sapphire crystal glass. A stainless-steel mesh bracelet is also available.
