A beautiful 14th century château in the Dordogne region of southwestern France has been transformed into Club des Autos, a new private members’ car club that celebrates automotive culture, luxury and history.

Based in 140 acres of verdant woodland, the historic château’s games room and Bugatti bar have been decked out in automobilia and vintage car parts, and members can also enjoy walking routes, a swimming pool and a lake. Club des Autos offers on-site car storage in purpose-built barns, too.

Club des Autos membership is offered on an invitation-only basis to discerning classic car owners, but the venue will also open its doors to non-members wishing to participate in driving tours and rallies.

The club’s launch is being marked with a ten-car driving tour that sets off from Bicester Heritage to the Club des Autos château on April 21, 2024. The driving tour promises to meld stunning roads and scenery with fine dining, and is being run in partnership with the StaterMotor Charity, which has enlisted two young mechanics to accompany participants in a support car.
