Nominate now for the International Historic Motoring Awards 2026

Words: David Lillywhite

The International Historic Motoring Awards sponsored by Lockton will return to the stunning Peninsula London hotel on Friday November 13, 2026 for the 16th running of the renowned annual event – and nominations are now open across the board.

Following the relaunch of the awards in 2024, this year’s staging will reveal a few more surprises and double down on the quality of the previous events. The award categories remain unchanged for 2026, by popular demand.

As previously, Car of the Year will be voted for by the public, including Magneto readers. We’ll publish the shortlist of contenders for International Historic Motoring Awards 2026 on the IHMA and Magneto websites. The rest, with the exception of the Lifetime Achievement award, will be judged by an independent panel of experts.

This is one of the best nights out in the classic car world’s calendar, bringing together many of the most influential collectors, organisers and specialists. Being shortlisted or winning an award carries global kudos. Don’t miss out on your chance to take part in in the International Historic Motoring Awards 2026 in some way.

To nominate, or for more details on this, please see www.historicmotoringawards.co.uk. Meanwhile, to book a table or tickets (note that we sold out well ahead of the event last year), contact events manager Emma Glanville at [email protected]. And to talk about sponsorship opportunities, speak with managing director Geoff Love at [email protected].
