Ferrari 250s celebrated in 2025 running of Hagerty California Mille driving tour

Eighty motor cars tackled some of Northern California’s finest driving roads as the Hagerty California Mille made its triumphant return from April 27 to May 1, 2025. A tribute to the original Mille Miglia, the event brings together machinery from the race’s golden era – 1927 to 1957 – as participants revel in spectacular scenery, exceptional cuisine, local heritage and shared camaraderie.

Unsurprisingly, the cars taking part were spectacular – especially those in this year’s Featured Class, which honoured the Ferrari 250. Highlights included storied models such as the 250 GT LWB Tour de France, 250 GT Boano and 250 PF Cabriolet Speciale.

The tour began in the glamorous surroundings of the Ritz-Carlton in Half Moon Bay, before travelling northwards to Napa Valley wine country via the San Francisco Bay Area and along the winding San Mateo County coast road. Drivers enjoyed some of the finest roads the Santa Rosa region has to offer, before inland drives along Lake Berryessa and Clear Lake.

Complementing the five-day driving tour were stays in luxurious five-star accommodation throughout, as well as exclusive collection tours and fine dining every evening.

Even better, this year’s edition raised over $85,000 for non-profit organisations, including the California Firefighters Benevolent Fund and the CHP 11-99 Foundation. The total includes proceeds from a live charity auction of a Brian Kesling painting depicting a Ferrari 250 in a nod to the California Mille’s 2025 Featured Class and Celebrated Marque.
