Tom Maoli’s stunning 1932 Duesenberg Model J Disappearing Top Convertible Coupe was crowned Best of Show at Hagerty’s Greenwich Concours d’Elegance 2025, held from May 30 to June 1 in Connecticut, US. The Duesenberg was joined by Lawrence Auriana’s beautiful 1972 Lamborghini Miura SV, which took the Concours de Sport prize.
The Duesenberg, wearing elegant Murphy coachwork, was first delivered to the marque’s Los Angeles dealership before being transported to its New York concessionaire. There, it was acquired by its first owner, Mr JWY Martin – a charismatic figure in East Coast high society who had a passion for equestrian pursuits. Every Duesenberg Disappearing Top model is completely bespoke, making this one of the most coveted Model J bodystyles.
Reflective of this Model J’s status are the cars that finished behind it in the Greenwich Concours d’Elegance 2025 standings: a black 1937 Chrysler Imperial C-15 and a silver 1961 Ferrari 250 GT Speciale. Maoli, of Mendham, New Jersey, was understandably delighted with the result:
“It means a lot to win. We’ve done shows here over the past few years. To finally get across the finish line and get the ‘monkey off our back’ is an honour. There’s nothing better.”

The Concours de Sport-winning Lamborghini Miura was similarly spectacular. Finished in head-turning Verde Chiaro paintwork, the Marcello Gandini-designed machine was one of the most striking cars to grace the Greenwich Concours d’Elegance 2025 field. This particular example is one of only 760 Miuras built, and was the final SV model delivered to the US.
The winning machines were among over 125 vehicles entered across 18 classes over the Greenwich Concours d’Elegance 2025 weekend. Special classes included 100 Years of Chrysler, Porsche Prototypes, Art Deco Streamliners and Pinin Farina.
Renowned collector Ralph Marano was honoured as the Greenwich Concours d’Elegance 2025’s grand marshal, while an expert judging panel – including 55 youth judges – were tasked with handing out 135 awards.
Hagerty’s Greenwich Concours d’Elegance returns for its 30th edition on May 29-31, 2026.
