Automotive publishing house Porter Press International has announced that its inaugural Motoring Literary & Art Festival will get underway on December 2-3, 2023, at Silverstone Circuit, UK.

The event will take place in Silverstone’s Wing facility, and is dedicated to motoring books, art, magazines and automobilia. It was inspired by the famous literary festivals held at Cheltenham and Hay.

Those in attendance will have the opportunity to listen to renowned guest speakers and panel discussions from various authors, drivers, engineers, collectors, restorers and designers. There will also be an array of exhibits and star cars.

“After all the hard work we put in during the summer of 2022, the event has already generated considerable goodwill and support,” says Porter Press International founder Philip Porter. “We are thrilled that Silverstone actually approached us about offering it a home. We look forward to announcing our line-up of guest speakers and exhibitors over the next few months.”

The literary side of the event is complemented by a selection of motoring art displayed by leading automotive artists, who will be showcasing and selling their works. They will be joined by vendors of period photographs and prints.

“This is an idea I had in principle about three years ago, but the pandemic put everything on hold,” Porter explains. “Now we are raring to go, and I hope this will build and build as a significant annual event on the motoring calendar.”
